Overview

One of the largest school districts in North Texas was introduced to Vantage Financial through their Google Chrome Licensing Manager. With a tight budget and many students without the necessary technology, they turned to Vantage to shape a leasing solution that met their needs.

Vantage's customized solution allowed them to afford 4X more equipment than they would have been able to with cash as they had done in the past. Additionally, they bundled sleeves, licenses, and maintenance services into the lease for one simple annual payment, while implementing a life-cycle management plan to keep their technology up to date.

Challenge

The school district had a very tight budget and were used to paying cash for their devices. This made it difficult t keep their technology up to date and most importantly they didn't have enough devices for all the students who needed them.

Paying cash also left them on the hook for disposition of the technology, having to deal with wiping it, paying for it to be shipped and repurposed. Because of this they kept the devices way beyond their useful life.

Solution

Vantage offered a 4 year lease solution for about 7,000 Chromebooks, sleeves, licenses, and white glove services at a price that fit into their annual budget. This was 4x more equipment than they were able to afford previously by paying cash.

To address the district's concerns about returning the technology, Vantage built in the shipping and carrying costs on the back end, with an allowance for 10% of the equipment lost due to damange or other factors.
